Abstract New technology such as 3D printing, robotic manufacturing, and the Internet of things can shorten production time mass customization (MC) products, enhance self-design fun consumers, improve channel integration connectivity. In this study, we examine impact MC waiting from purchase products on supply chain integration. We consider a consisting one manufacturer, retailer, customizer. The manufacturer produces sells standardized through whereas customizer customized to consumers directly. decide whether integrate with (i.e., manufacturer–customizer integration) or retailer retailer–customizer integration). find that achieve win–win–win outcome for all three members when is within moderate range probability being satisfied product quality high, but cannot an outcome, will not be benefited if it does participate in Furthermore, reduces customizer’s investment level fun, which implies negative effect owing low compensated by competition mitigation With endogenized achievability remain unchanged.
